2. Has
Realpokertraining been a factor in your recent surge of
success ?
Yes, Realpokertraining has been instrumental in the
success I have had in poker since July of 2005. I only
play about 25 hours a week, so I need to do well when I
play. Realpokertraining has given me that edge that I
need to make the most out of the time I get to play.
3. What's the one thing you learned from the videos
that sticks out the most as having improved your game ?
I can actually think of a couple of things that stick
out in my mind that I have learned from
Realpokertraining. I learned that being patient is very
important and that sometimes you have to throw away
cards that you would normally play because of the action
that has occurred in front of you. Your cards are not as
important as what other people have done in front of you
or what they have done after you have acted. Sometimes
what you thought were good cards become mediocre and
unplayable cards after the other players at the table
act. You have to always think about why people are doing
what they are doing and THEN think about what you should
do. Sometimes when I play I am actually thinking to
myself about what was done in one of the videos and
replaying some part of the videos in my head.
4. What would you say to an aspiring player who is
thinking of joining Realpokertraining but is not sure if
it is worth the investment ?
It is worth every penny, sometimes people complain that
videos don't come out all the time. If you watch the
videos over and over, you will learn new things. You
might have missed something the first time you watched
the video. Go back and watch them again, because you may
have a new understanding of what was taught in the
previous videos after you learn new ways to play your
cards from future videos. Just like a sports player will
watch game film over and over to find an edge on his
opponents. Realpokertraining is worth every month that I
have paid for it. I really think that I would not have
the success that I now enjoy if I were not an
Realpokertraining member. If I spent more time watching
more of the videos I may be even more successful than I
am now. The money that you spend on Realpokertraining
WILL be returned to you on the tables. I know for a fact
that Realpokertraining has made me way more money than I
have spent on the membership.
5. What are your poker plans in the future, and are
you going to play in this years WSOP main event?
I plan to start playing more live events. I played in
the $500 and $1000 WSOP circuit events at Harrahs in AC
and while I did not place in the money, I found that I
could play at that level and have confidence that I
could win the tournament. I did win many of the single
table tournaments that they were having. I won $3200 in
my first WSOP experience so I would love to play more
live. I will also be playing in Paradise Pokers Conquest
event in May. In July I will be playing in the WSOP Main
Event and hope to do well in that. I would play poker
more often online and live but with a decent paying job
and 3 kids its kinda of hard to play more. That's one of
the reasons I joined Realpokertraining. If I was going
to play I needed to win, and Realpokertraining has been
instrumental in that I believe.
6. What is your thoughts on the future of online
poker?
That is a hard question. I think that online poker will
continue to thrive. The government may try to regulate
it but I don't see how they can. There have been many
discussions on this, but I think that the government
cant do anything about it. Some may say that I am wrong,
but online poker I think is about at its peak. I don't
think the amount of players will go down, but I do think
that it will level off. And as the players become
better, you will need to find every edge that you can. I
think Realpokertraining is the edge that will make you a
winning player, it has been for me.
